Jot It Down

Here is a cute little book we made the last week during our club meeting. I got the idea from fellow consultant Vicki W. (thanks). I know I am always looking for notepaper to write my lists down, whether it is my grocery list or my to do list so this is perfect. I plan on making a few more to leave around the house...like on my desk, beside the phone and and I even going to put magnet on one and hang on my fridge.

Our Club meets once a month and we make little projects like this. I will be starting a new club in September if you are interested in attending. You will only have a commitment of spending $25 each month and in return you will be hostess once during the duration of club so you can get all the freebies plus you get to make things that are of no additional cost to you. Let me know if you are interested.

Thoughts of somewhere warm

With the temperatures last week that were springlike and then this week a little colder, I am wishing for warm weather to stay. That made me think of this layout that I haven't posted yet. This was taken a few years ago in Cuba. Barry and I took a catamaran to a neighboring island. It was so nice to relax and watch the water as we were cruising...that is when Barry mentioned that it would be so nice to have one of these at home. So...when we returned we went pontoon boat shopping.

Technique Class

Once a month I teach a technique class. You will be given written instructions for all the techniques. We will make a 3x3 sample of the technique that you can paste onto the instructions to always give you a visual of the technique, then we will make a greeting card using that technique. At each class you will learn 3 different techniques too. These classes are very affordable at $10 and space fills up pretty fast. My next class will be held on Sunday March 28th at 2 pm. Call me to reserve your spot.

The technique we did on this card is called sanded serendipity. Pretty cool huh? Remember, you will learn lots at technique class!

For this layout I used my how to book IMAGINE. If I have not said it before this is a awesome book to get you going on scrapbooking. It has complete directions from cutting your paper to putting it together and everything in between. This layout was Leading Lady featured on Page 16 of the book.

My First Tilda Post!

Welcome to my First Tilda Post. These stamps come from the Magnolia collection. I have purchased them from here.
Diana has real good shipping but the Magnolias are in high demand so the website is on the slow side sometimes.
This girl is called #382 Tilda with Thistle. I colored her with my Copic Markers and matched the colors to the paper colors in the Bella Paper Packet (X7114B). With my little color chart you can match any copic to any Close To My Heart paper you may have. This is also the first time I have used stickles. I have had them for ages but never got around the using them on a project. I love the effect and will certainly be purchasing more of them.

This is the inside of the card. Hope you like it.

Building our Nest

I really like this layout. It uses the fabulous Felicity papers and stamps that was a special back in Dec/Jan. (I still have a kit left if anyone is interested). This is also a great family picture of all of us. That is very hard to get lately as everyone of us has different schedules.

Best 15 days

This is another layout of me and my granddaughter. I know you are probably getting sick of seeing layouts of her but she is just sooooo cute! (I promise I will get to posting other things soon). For this I used the Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace punch to punch around the page. It is a two punch set so you can do corners and along the border. I think it would out great! I also used one of our pretty pins through the crocheted flower. These are pretty neat to use but be careful you don't stick yourself. Another thing I did was sponged colors onto the chipboard numbers. To do this you start with the lightest color Blush, and sponge a little more that half the number, then take your desert sand and sponge the rest going over the blush some to blend the colors. It looks great in person.
