Summer layout using the Workshops On The Go Kits

This is a cute layout made with the Cherry O Papers. I wasn't sure I would like this paper packet but when I started working with it, I was sold! It has lots of fun colors like chocolate, blush and sweet leaf. On this layout I took the guard off my corner rounder to make the scallops on the striped paper. To make the scallops, turn over your corner rounder and you should be able to see the paper in the hole of the punch. Line up the one side with the edge of the punch and punch through the paper. For the next one line up the edge of the first scallop with the left edge of the punch and punch again. Repeat this process for the length of your paper.
This is also one of our Summer Workshop on the Go Summer Kits. You still have until the end of August to purchase the summer kits then we will be onto the Fall kits.
For $35.50 you get:
My Acrylix Bowl of cherries stamp set
My Reflections Cherry O Paper Packet
Mini Medley Accents Tulip Collections
Workshop Guide

You may also want to add:
Chocolate Waxy Flax
Colonial White Designer Brads

So if you want to order this kit to make this layout and many more of your choosing with the leftover papers please let me know before the end of August.

Summer Splendour Art and Soul TV!

There is a new episode of Art and Soul on Close To My Heart TV! In this episode you will discover how to mask some images on your stamp so that only the part you want gets inked. Watch it here

You will also get to see a visual of how to use the corner rounder to make scalloped edges on your paper. My last post explained how to do this but now you can see a quick visual of it being done.

Are the Clear Cards that Close To My Heart sells not brilliant! These are really fun to make and on this episode of Art and Soul there are some tips on how to use the clear cards.

Another fun technique is making paper flowers using the circle punch. You will see how to make these wonderful flowers and get all the paper measurements.

One last tip that Close To My Heart has on the Art and Soul episode is how to make mats on our Digital Software...Studio J. This is a free software that you can play with FREE and you only have to pay for the layouts you print. This is very user friendly and can do things like whiten teeth, remove red eye and blemishes and to make your photos black and white or sepia...just to name a few of the different techniques that can be done on Studio J. Go ahead, and try it...it won't cost anything until you print them. Try it FREE Here

Now off to watch the latest Art and Soul TV

Convention News!

I have some really exciting news about the convention that I just attended in Washington DC, but first I have to apologize for the blank post the other day. I have a new IPad and thought I would be ahead of the game if I posted some news about the new products etc while still at convention and my IPad would not let me add text in the body of the email...Or at least I could not figure it out...sometimes me and technology do not get along. Anyways now for the exciting news

We have 8 new colors for our color palette: Gypsy, Pacifica, Sunset, Cotton Candy, Lagoon, Pear, Sky and Smoothie. These will replace the colors Clover Meadow, Hydrangea, Orange, Star Spangled Blue, Bubblegum, Citrus Leaf, Ocean, and Watermelon.

We have 4 new paper packs...Magnifique (pretty blues) , Olivia Nice fall colors), Hooligans ( Halloween) and Mistletoe (traditional Christmas Colors). We also still have the Workshops on the go with these paper packets and I will be doing the FREE classes with them again starting in September.

We have Plenty of new stamp sets...Halloween, Christmas, Birthday etc. Always lots to choose from as usual.

We have new Albums...Faux Leather 12x12 albums...these will replace the linen albums so if you are collecting certain colors of linen ones I would suggest that you should order them soon.

We have lots of new embellishments like Colored sparkles and designer brads. Me also have a new mini album called Mix and Mingle.

The card at the top is made using the New Olivia Paper Pack and "The Present" stamp set. Stay tuned for more artwork from the new fall catalogue!

Renee

This is a layout I made using the Rockin' Top Coats. These are unique designs printed on transparencies. You can see the guitar here.
All you have to do is remove the clear protective film before use, then apply using liquid glass under a colored part and you cannot see the adhesive. Fast, Simple, Easy! And they are only $5.75 for 14 different sized die cut images! Amazing! ...I know...I am just excited about these top coats.

Happy Times

Here are some photos of when we took the kids to Disneyworld in 1998. As you can see I do not scrapbook in order...I scrapbook by inspiration and I knew when I seen the new Zippidee Papers they were perfect for the pictures. The sketch was also a Workshop On the Go Kit that Close To My Heart sells. These Kits are great as they come with everything...papers, stamp set, accessories and a guide that has a never before seen layout complete with step by step instructions. Contact me to get more information or find out how you can get a FREE workshop using the Workshop on the Go kits.

Bustin Out

Are these photos not cute! My granddaughter at the very young age of 5 months...yes 5 months...started crawling up the stairs. Sometimes she would try and turn around half way up them so we had to block them off for her. So we put this chair in front of the stairs hoping it would stop her. She did not like that...hence the name busting out! Oh, by the way she did figure out how to get around the chair. Smart little cookie.
This Sketch was taken from the evensong workshop on the go guide. I just love how you can use these sketches from the Workshops On The Go or from the How to books from Close To My Heart like Cherish and Imagine with different papers and different pictures and never know that the sketch was the same one. I will have to see if I can find the picture of the other layout I made using this same sketch.
