Happy Tuesday!

I got busy and made up some cards in the last couple of weeks.  My creativity goes in spurts...sometimes all I want to make is scrapbook layouts and sometimes I just want to make cards.  And really this could go on for a couple of months...just making one or the other...I guess that is the fun of paper crafting!  Anyways, on this card I stamped the small flower, then cut it out leaving a small white edge around the flower.  I stamped the larger flower then I placed the cut out one on top and attached with a brad.  I also finger daubered chocolate on the chocolate pieces and blush on the pink pieces and around the colonial white to give it that added "punch" of border color.

Happy Birthday!

I am going to give you a sneak peak of one of the new fall stamp sets Party Pennants.  This is a really nice set that includes the pennants that are so "in" right now.  It also includes different sayings for different occasions like shower and retirement as well as birthday like I used here.
Down the side of the card i used our New Opaques Adhesive Gems.  TIP: For easy placement of the adhesive backed pearls, try picking them up with the pointy end of your piercing tool, then place them on your paper, and then push them down with your finger.  This is easier to do than trying to pick them up with your fingers.
I also used a super fine glue pen made by Quicky and traced over the happy birthday saying and covered with Prisma Glitter.

Colors are blush, Hollyhock, Cocoa, Colonial White and Dutch Blue.

Love you Muches!

I just love the paper packet Topstitch.  The pinks and blues and browns are just so nice together! They also go very nice with my baby granddaughter's photo. I used the Martha Stewart Eyelet lace Punch around the Page for this layout.  These are really easy to use as Martha Stewart has it placed perfectly to go around a 12x12 page so everything ends up even.  You just punch the corners first then line up the border punch and finish punching the sides.  Wala you have a perfectly punched square border around your layout.
I also stamped flourishes on the letters before I cut them out, just to give them some extra texture.

My Baby is Eating!

I think the Zippidee Paper packet goes excellent with these photos.  The Cranberry red just brings out the red in her shirt, and the lettering on her bib so well.  I used my newest punch for the border.  I also used my how to book Imagine for the sketch for this layout.

And for the scrapbooker, Here is the 2 page layout I made using the brown/orange triple play kit.  I did have to add the two Bamboo base pages for this layout.  In this layout I am in Washington DC and I am at the White House and at the Lincoln Memorial, with my friend Glennys.

So you can see, that in this awesome kit for National Stamping Month there is something for every type of paper crafter, whether it be card makers, scrapbookers, or mini albums.  The possibilities are endless!

Little Miss Personality!

Isn't she just adorable in her little hat! She actually likes hats on. Kids at play are fun to take photos of too!  I just found these photos of this layout that I made last spring.  The paper pack Caboodle went perfectly with the pictures of Novalee.  I sponged ink over top of the dimensional Elements then stamped on them.

Amy's grad

Oh, my goodness, I had done these pages a while ago but somehow they got missed in my postings.  I really need a better system for my artwork.  Maybe this fall my computer will get an overhaul in organization...maybe...
Anyhow, I wanted to tell you how I did the frame around the Title and Amy's picture. I cut half inch strips of cardstock and  made a paper frame around the outside edge of the photo mat, placing it down with repositionable adhesive.  I took a sponge and dipped it in garden green ink, then swiped the sponge from the outside in towards where the photo will be placed.  I did all four sides.  Then I removed the frame and WALA I have a inked frame for my photo.
Again, I also used my trusty how to books for the sketch for this layout.

Maggie Monday!

Welcome back to another Maggie Monday.  I do have a confession to make...I have been so busy this summer, going on two holidays, having a seasonal campsite out at the lake and with scrapbooking (yes, I do go in spurts) I haven't made too many Maggie cards.  But I have been coloring them!  I do have quite a few images colored in and will sit down one of these days to make them into cards.  So I just wanted you to know that Maggie Mondays will be back in the fall, just be patient.  These are too addictive not to color them!  Also I will be teaching a Copic Marker Class in October.  Stayed tuned for details.
