For this card I combined two paper packets…Magnifique and topstitch. I like how they go together. One of the other things I did was to take my opaques pearls and color them with my Copic marker RV11 to match. Since I bought my copics I tend to buy more white or cream embellishments and color them to match whatever I am working on. This saves a lot of money when you don’t need something in every color!

Happy New Year!
Happy January 1st! Hope you all had a very wonderful holiday season. As we start a new year we tend to think about all the new starts and things we may like to change or do differently. I hope to make life a little less complicated….not sure how I am going to do that but I sure am going to try!

Seasons Greeting from Edwin
Another Maggie Christmas card made! This little cutie is Santa Edwin. He is reading over his naughty list. I hope I am not on there…ha-ha. I used the Mistletoe striped paper but I wanted to add some glitter to it so…I took my quickie mini glue pen and traced over the red lines and sprinkled some micro fine glitter on there. Then shook of the excess glitter and replaced it back in my jar. The end results in some homemade glitter paper. I also added some Polar white diamond flower soft for the fur trim on Santa Edwin.

A Maggie Challenge
I was so excited when I participated in a Kit Swap through the Magnolia Group and received this little cutie…I can Fly Tilda from Karyn Nale. (Thanks so much Karyn for the kit!) It is one image that I do not own so I had lots of fun coloring her up. In the kit from Karyn came the papers that I used as well, except for the desert Sand and Colonial White cardstock. I also added the crochet flower and the little flower bud.
I am also participating in the MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS Pink and Yellow CHALLENGE. You can see that here I have never participated in a challenge before so this was extra fun. The only stipulation was that I had to use pink and yellow. So here is my card.
Copics used are:

Hair: E57, E55, E53, E51

I really liked the way this little cutie turned out. Her hair was a little tricky to get the right shadows in it but I am really happy with the coloring on her. I also colored her to match the Caboodle papers from Close To My Heart. That is a great thing about the copic markers; you can match them to almost any papers. I also used my R22 Copic to color the white pearls to match. And I used my newest punch from Martha Stewart…the linked trim. When I seen this one in the store I immediately knew I was going to weave a strip paper through it.
Here is the inside of the card.

Born to Shop!
Welcome to Maggie Monday! This Monday I have made an easel card. These are quite fun to make and they sit nice on the shelve for display. I used the Tilda Goes shopping stamp from Magnolia. I also used LOTS of pearls on this card.
Here is a close up of the bottom half of the card. It says "little moments make life great". I also used my Copic Air Brush system. I have had this for ages and only used it a few times, so I thought I would use it on here to give the half circles some color.

This little cutie is called Flower Girl with Petals #3040 from Magnolia. She can be used on a variety of cards not just wedding cards. One of the things I did was used my Liquid glass as a paint. I squeezed out a small amount onto some wax paper and picked up some on a fine paint brush and painted her shoes after I colored them. It is hard to see in the photo, but they have a real nice shine to them. They look like satin shoes. I also took the guard off my corner rounder to make the scalloped edge on the paper mat. This is not hard to do, just turn the corner rounder upside down so you can see where you are punching and line up the edge of the paper in to corner rounder. It is easier to do than to describe how to do it. Trust me. LOL

Another Maggie Monday
How adorable is this cutie! It is from Magnolia Stamps called Snowman with bells. It was a little challenging to color as white is hard to replicate (is that a word?) I knew that I was going to use the Aspen papers so I colored the snowman with a blue tinge. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Maggie Monday!
These girls are just so cute! Coloring them is also a great way to practice with your Copic Markers. They just blend so nice. Again, I used the Cherry O papers for this card. I also used the NEW Glitz stardust glitter glue on the white Prima Flowers. It is hard to tell in the photo but it turned out really nice. I also got the crystal bead garland in the wedding section of Michaels. I cut out a small section to use on the card. They are very pretty. I was also cutting out 3 scalloped rectangles with my Nestibillities for the card but when I was done cutting I liked the negative piece better than the 3 separate rectangles...so that went on the card. I like how sometimes you get ideas or things purely by accident...awesome!
Anywho...All supplies are Close To My Heart Unless otherwise noted.

Maggie Monday!
Welcome to another Maggie Monday. I think I missed last week. Summer is going to be so busy for me so I will try and post regularly but there will be no promise. For this "Tilda in Spring Rain" I used the new Cherry O papers. I wasn't really sure if these papers matched my style but once I started working with them I really like them. I also got to use my new punch from EK Success that I picked up in Minot at Hobby Lobby the last time I was there, it is called Double Embossed Dotted Lace.
I really like how the inside turned out with the punch. I may have to do more insides like this one. All supplies are Close To My Heart unless otherwise noted.

Another Maggie Monday!
Oh, these little girls are so fun to color. I am getting good use of my Copic Markers coloring these images. They are so addictive. This one, Love Notes Tilda, reminds me of a paper girl delivering the evening news. I used the emporium paper packet for this card. It wasn't my favorite paper pack, but once I started to play with it I started liking it much better. Sometimes that happens, either you play a little bit with it or you see what someone else has created with a certain paper or product and you see it in a whole other light. When I color with my Copics I like to use at least 3 colors to blend. It looks so dimensional when you can do this. So for the Shirt I used YG95, YG93, and YG91. I start with the darkest color and lay down a few little amount. You don't want it too dark. Then I use the middle color and feather in with it, going over the dark color as well. Then I finish off with the lightest color going over both the darker colors to blend. It does take some practice...so keep with it...don't get frustrated.
I also used the Wishes Book from Close To My Heart for the sketch...Pieced together from page 34.

Another Maggie Monday!
I made another card with those adorable Maggies. This one is called Bow sitting sideways. She was the very first Tilda that I purchased. i just love the patches on her jeans. This is also a sitting image so I can make her look like she is sitting on the patterned paper border. The artist that drew her was a genius for making the sitting images like this one. As always she is colored with my Copic Markers.
All supplies are Close To My Heart unless otherwise noted.

Welcome to Maggie Monday!
Welcome to Maggie Monday! I am going to try and dedicate every Monday to the cute little stamps from Magnolia. I simply cannot resist these cute little girls and boys. I colored one of the big white flowers with Pearl paint mixed with Vanilla Cream reinker. To do this I took a small dab of the pearl paint and placed it onto a pallet and added two or three drops of vanilla Cream reinker and mixed together with a stylus. I then took a regular paint brush and painted the top of the flower then set aside to dry. It looks so much better in person than in the picture. Nice and shimmery.
I also took some self adhesive pearls and colored them with my R22 Copic marker. I just love to do this as you can make anything match your artwork.
I colored the Tilda with copic markers and cut the image out using my new Close To My Heart Craft Knife.
I also decorated the inside of the card.
