Using WOTG Sketches with other papers

I am trying to use up some retired papers.  This is another layout with the Veranda WOTG Sketch. I hope you can now see that when you use different papers and different embellishments you get totally different results. So when you buy a WOTG kit, the instructions and the stamp sets will be a wonderful tool for years to come.

Celebrate Today

 

I was blog hopping one day and came across this layout from Sherri Tozzi I really liked it. So I decided to make one similar to hers. I made the scalloped circles with a 2 inch punch and cut them in half. I also took a 1 ¼ inch plain circle punch and punched out red circles and cut them in half too. I layered the circles together. I then took my 1/8^th inch circle punch and punched out little circles in the scalloped part.

I took the Pennant Alphabet stamp and stamped out today onto sunny yellow cardstock and then cut out the pennants. I made the banner string out of waxy flax and tied little bows on the end.

Summertime!

I have to admit that this paper Packet…Fanfare… was not my favorite. In fact I really did not care for it at all. But, I bought it anyways to see if I can make some layouts with it. And it was not even a challenge at all. Once I pulled it out of the package and seen it in person and started working with it things just went together quickly. I really like this layout. This is a Magic layout…Hocus Pocus. Nice, Clean and simple. I hope you like it too!

Let's Celebrate!

Well, summer finally arrived!  The weather is getting better outside so that means life is starting to get busy too.  My posts to this blog will still be coming throughout the summer but maybe not quite so often as they have been. 

These are some really old photos…it is of my 5th birthday. I used the Fanfare Workshop On the Go Kit but I did make a few changes to fit my photos into it and to “customize” it a little bit.
