Stamping on Ribbon

I know that I am always talking about the Workshops on the Go Kits and the layouts they have instructions for, so today is going to be no different LOL. I used an old Workshop On the Go Instruction pamphlet from the Veranda Kit and used my New Stella Papers and this is the result. The basic Idea is the same but with different papers and embellishments you would never know it was the same sketch.

One other thing that I like to do that I haven’t done in a while is to stamp a saying on ribbon. I have lots of narrow sayings that work perfect for this. I used the sayings that came with the Retro Tech stamp set to stamp “Moments to live for” on the left page and “Picture Perfect” for the right page. Some ribbon works better than others for stamping on but the Color Ready seam binding works great. Make sure you don’t press to hard or the stamp will squish down and become distorted. Also darker inks will help you to see the saying better too.

Catching Up

I found some more pictures of artwork that I have not posted yet.  Hope you like it. 

I used the Magic sketch book from Close to My Heart to design this layout. The sketch is called transfigure and is on page 112.

One of the things I did for this layout is to use our cream pearls and I colored them with my Copic marker R85. I tend to buy a lot of white, cream or clear embellishments and color them with my Copic Markers to match. This way you can customize the embellishments to suit your layout. If you don’t have any Copics, Sharpie markers will do the same thing.

Daddy’s Girl

If you are looking for a very versatile paper packet then Florentine is for you! This awesome kit can be for camping photos like I have here, heritage, manly, girly, Love and the list just goings on. It all depends on what main colors you use. Here I used the blues and greens as main colors so my camping photos of my son with his first born went great.

On this layout I go to use the new Color ready seam binding ribbon. It is an off white color that accepts color by sponging it on. For this I used my finger daubers and rubbed color onto the ribbon. It didn’t take long at all, only a minute or so then I left it dry while I put together my layout, maybe an hour then attached it with brads. This is just another example of Close To My Heart having available embellishments that are quick to customize for our layouts.
