One Year Old!

It is hard to believe that my granddaughter had her 1st birthday already.  Time sure flies...We had a nice party for her out at the lake.
I like the way the Hooligans paper packet went with the birthday photos.  it was a lot of fun making this from the new How To Book, Magic.  The pattern is in there, but I did change it up a bit.
I also didn't have any sunset cardstock so I used White Daisy cardstock and my sunset ink pad and did direct to paper to make my own sunset cardstock.  I think it turned out beautiful, it has a bit of texture for depth.  And it is very easy to do if you find yourself without the right color of cardstock.

Too Cute To Spook!

Welcome back to Maggie Mondays.  Isn't she adorable.  The more I get to play with these little girls and boys the more I love them.  They are irresistible!
This one is Sitting Witch Tilda.  The glass flowers came from my local Michael's store.  The were in the bridal section.  I also didn't have any sunset cardstock that I wanted to use so I took my sunset ink pad and rubbed it in circles all over white cardstock to make my own custom paper.  It also has texture to is as some areas are darker than others.  A fun way to make do with what you have.

Studio J Digital Layouts

I have a confession to make.  We have been selling CTMH Studio J Digital Scrapbooking for almost 1 year now.  I was not interested in it because of the cost.  It was just too expensive and then when you add the shipping to Canada it was not something I was interested in promoting to my customers.  Then this summer at Convention in Washington DC they announced a membership program to Studio J.  This made it totally affordable to us in Canada!
Studio J memberships include:
  • FREE hi-res JPG files for every custom printed layout purchased
  • Special Members only patterns and kits
  • FREE Shipping and handling on your monthly order
  • FREE Memory Protectors
  • Exclusive Campaigns and Deals throughout your membership
  • 50% off custom printed layouts...Your cost is only $7.50 per layout...that works out to only $3.75 per 12x12 page!
So to summarize...$3.75 per page and free shipping...What is there not to like!
The cost of a 12 month membership is only $115. or you can try a 3 month membership to see if this is something that you will like for only $35.

We also carry a 5 pack which includes 5 - 2 page printed layouts, 5 memory protectors, and free shipping and handling.  This option will cost $73.

And to make this even more affordable become a Close To My Heart Independent Consultant on my team!  A one year membership may be one of your 3 choices you can make on a custom made consultant kit!

The above layout I whipped up yesterday in only a matter of minutes.
You can try Studio J out here

September Scrapbook Class

These are the Pages that we will be making for the September Scrapbook Class.

NOTE**This is different than the Workshop on The Go class**

Both these layouts are made with the Olivia Paper Packet But as you can see, You can use pictures that have nothing to do with fall.  I added a little bit of purple and the colors worked with pictures I had of my granddaughter. For your photos we will use something that matches instead of the purple I used.  You will be able to see that you can add odd colors to traditional colors and they will work together.

We are also making a change for the better:  We will be doing both layouts instead of just the one we did last year.  This way you will get more scrapbooking done.  And the price stays the same!

Class Date: Thursday September 23
         Time: 7pm
       Where: My House
          Cost: $12

Please register by Sept 20th to reserve your spot.

Look what one paper pack will make

Have you ever wondered how many things you can make with one paper packet?  I did.  I was going through some of my paper packets that I have bought a few years ago and thought...I still have some of this?  I know I used it on this layout and on that one too, oh and I made a few cards with it, and...so when I got the new Olivia paper packet I wanted to work with it until it was all gone to see what I can get with it.  I did add some extra cardstock for base pages for the layouts but that was it.

So I started with the layout above...the Workshop On The Go Kit.  I always do these first they are the most fun, and you have the full directions in front of you.

Then I did the Card part of the Workshop on The Go.  Did you know that the Workshop On The Go Kits come with directions for both the 2 page layout AND 6 cards.  You can do either workshop or BOTH and you have lots of paper for that.
So I did both the Workshops then I made this layout of my and my hubby on out trip last year.  I still had paper left over though.  So...
I made another layout of my beloved puppy Shane, that is no longer with us.
:(   I also covered the composition book, and made 2 more cards.  But I still had paper left...So
I made another 2 page layout.  And guess what?  I still had paper left.  So...
I covered one of our recipe boxes...You can use them for other things other than recipes so I am putting some of my favorite photos in this one.  But, I still had paper left.  So...
I made another layout with it.  And believe it or not I still have paper left, but I really go tired of the same colors so I have put it away for another day. But I did accomplish what I had set out to do...see all I can make from one paper packet.  So for $15.50 you get a ton of projects made.  The paper packets come with 12 12x12 patterned papers and 10 coordinating cardstock.
So, maybe you can try it sometime.  I would like to see what you can make with one paper packet.  Oh, and you will be using some of that paper when you do that and not just stash it away for another time.  try it...I dare you...LOL
I will re post some of these pictures later on and give you the full list of things I used.  Stay tuned...

New Product for Fall/Winter

Here is a layout I made at Convention in Washington this summer.  It uses the new paper packet Magnifique.  It is so pretty in person.  It has 3 of the new colors in it...Lagoon, Pacifica and Sky.  So pretty...It also uses the new Stamp set Circle of Love, with a  peacocks and feathers and a few sayings.  It also has another new product...one of my absolute favorites in this catalogue...Memory Protectors Flip Flaps that are 12 inches wide!  Yes 12 inches wide.  You get 8 protectors total in 3 sizes 4 x 12, 6 x 12, and 8 x 12.  And the best part...they are only $4.75.  Yep, under 5 dollars.  How cool is that?  They have an adhesive strip along the 12 inch side so you can attach them to your page protector in any direction you wish.
Here I have attached an 8 x 12 to the left side of this page and a 4 x 12 to the right side.  So you can flip them open even while they are attached into your album.
This is what it will look like open.  And on the photo below I have attached a
6 x 12 on the top and another one on the bottom so that they open like is shows in the photo.  These are really great for any layouts that you have lots of photos for...like reunions, trips or even birthdays.  In my layout I used my family photo shoot that we did last fall.
I have lots of projects made with the new things in the Fall/Winter catalogue so stay tuned for more.
