Quick and Easy Layouts

Here is a quick and easy page with not too many supplies.  I think it only took me 15 minutes to make.  When I use the coordinating My Stickease there are sample layouts on the backside.  If I like them then I can just copy the layout, place the stickases on and Wa - La my layout is done!  Simple.  It just cannot get any better than that!

Kilkenny Castle

These pictures were taken at the Kilkenny castle in Ireland last summer.  It was such a beautiful castle.  I really enjoyed our trip there.

Magnifique Note Folder

I made this note folder a while ago and never got around to posting it until now.  For the notepad itself, I went to the local Staples Depot and asked them if they would cut a regular notepad in half so I could make a few of these little pads.  They did charge me a small fee but I was happy just to have them cut it for me.

A Baby Boy Layout

Here is a layout I did of my son a few days ago. This was the day he was born…in 1984! I would not call me “behind” in scrapbooking…I just scrapbook whatever inspires me at a particular moment. It could start with a certain paper packet, or stamp set. It could also be the story I want to write about. So in other words…wherever my heart desires…just the way it should be…right?

Snow Much Fun

This was the first time my granddaughter went out to play in the snow.  It is so cute watching her discover new things!
I got to add lots of photos to this layout thanks to the New Page Protectors Flip Flaps.  You get 8 flip flaps in each package, two 4x12, four 6x12 and two 8x12 all for only $4.50.  How cool is that?  These have an adhesive strip that attaches on the outside of your page protector. They can go on either the top, or bottom, left or right sides. So anywhere!  In the above photo I have the 8x12 attached to the left side of page one and the 4x12 to the right side of page one.  I also have a 6x6 attached to the top and bottom of page 2.

Tulle Skirt Tilda

For this card I combined two paper packets…Magnifique and topstitch. I like how they go together. One of the other things I did was to take my opaques pearls and color them with my Copic marker RV11 to match. Since I bought my copics I tend to buy more white or cream embellishments and color them to match whatever I am working on. This saves a lot of money when you don’t need something in every color!

It is an awesome set for Valentine’s Day or Love in general. I also used the Magnifique paper packet…unexpected colors for Valentine’s day which add interest. Also perfect as it will go to my wonderful hubby, so it is masculine…which sometimes is hard to do.

Scrapbooking Class

November Scrapbook Class


We will be using the NEW Memory Protectors Flip Flaps 12 inch assortment. These enable you to place lots of photos on the two pages. I have 9 photos on my layout but you can place lots more instead of the stamping.

You can see in the top photo how your layout will be placed in your album.

 

This is the left page opened. The flip flaps are placed on the left and right sides of the layout to open up like a gate or doors.

 This is the right layout opened. It opens up on the top and the bottom.

This layout is really easier to do than it looks, but there is lots of cardstock that needs to be cut for this 2 page layout. For that reason, I will have the cutting done for you so you can concentrate on putting it together and doing the stamping.

Class Date: Thursday November 11th at 7pm.
Cost for this 2 page layout is $18 to cover the cost of the page protectors and flip flaps.

New Product for Fall/Winter

Here is a layout I made at Convention in Washington this summer.  It uses the new paper packet Magnifique.  It is so pretty in person.  It has 3 of the new colors in it...Lagoon, Pacifica and Sky.  So pretty...It also uses the new Stamp set Circle of Love, with a  peacocks and feathers and a few sayings.  It also has another new product...one of my absolute favorites in this catalogue...Memory Protectors Flip Flaps that are 12 inches wide!  Yes 12 inches wide.  You get 8 protectors total in 3 sizes 4 x 12, 6 x 12, and 8 x 12.  And the best part...they are only $4.75.  Yep, under 5 dollars.  How cool is that?  They have an adhesive strip along the 12 inch side so you can attach them to your page protector in any direction you wish. 

Here I have attached an 8 x 12 to the left side of this page and a 4 x 12 to the right side.  So you can flip them open even while they are attached into your album. 

This is what it will look like open.  And on the photo below I have attached a

6 x 12 on the top and another one on the bottom so that they open like is shows in the photo.  These are really great for any layouts that you have lots of photos for...like reunions, trips or even birthdays.  In my layout I used my family photo shoot that we did last fall.
