Born to Shop!
Welcome to Maggie Monday! This Monday I have made an easel card. These are quite fun to make and they sit nice on the shelve for display. I used the Tilda Goes shopping stamp from Magnolia. I also used LOTS of pearls on this card.
Here is a close up of the bottom half of the card. It says "little moments make life great". I also used my Copic Air Brush system. I have had this for ages and only used it a few times, so I thought I would use it on here to give the half circles some color.

Amy's grad
Oh, my goodness, I had done these pages a while ago but somehow they got missed in my postings. I really need a better system for my artwork. Maybe this fall my computer will get an overhaul in organization...maybe...
Anyhow, I wanted to tell you how I did the frame around the Title and Amy's picture. I cut half inch strips of cardstock and made a paper frame around the outside edge of the photo mat, placing it down with repositionable adhesive. I took a sponge and dipped it in garden green ink, then swiped the sponge from the outside in towards where the photo will be placed. I did all four sides. Then I removed the frame and WALA I have a inked frame for my photo.
Again, I also used my trusty how to books for the sketch for this layout.

Another Maggie Monday!
I made another card with those adorable Maggies. This one is called Bow sitting sideways. She was the very first Tilda that I purchased. i just love the patches on her jeans. This is also a sitting image so I can make her look like she is sitting on the patterned paper border. The artist that drew her was a genius for making the sitting images like this one. As always she is colored with my Copic Markers.
All supplies are Close To My Heart unless otherwise noted.

Technique Class
Once a month I teach a technique class. You will be given written instructions for all the techniques. We will make a 3x3 sample of the technique that you can paste onto the instructions to always give you a visual of the technique, then we will make a greeting card using that technique. At each class you will learn 3 different techniques too. These classes are very affordable at $10 and space fills up pretty fast. My next class will be held on Sunday March 28th at 2 pm. Call me to reserve your spot. The technique we did on this card is called sanded serendipity. Pretty cool huh? Remember, you will learn lots at technique class!

Imagine Blog Hop!
Today we are doing a blog hop where we will show you different layouts and ideas for using the Imagine How - To Book. There are 14 blogs to showcase this great book.So if you can from Kristie Herdener's blog you are travelling right along! This is truly one of the three wonderful how to scrapbook programs that Close To My Heart has.
They provide hundreds of ideas for gorgeous and balanced layouts. It features 50 two-page 12x12 layouts complete with cutting diagrams, detailed assembly instructions, full-color artwork and plenty of clever techniques for beginners to experts.
My layout today is done following the Small Packages blueprint on page 74 of the Imagine book. If you look at the book, you will notice I switched my layouts around because I wanted the right layout on my left side. I also wanted to use one big photo instead of 9 smaller ones on my left hand layout. That is the great thing about these books, you can do that! That is why you can get so many combinations out of these books. And with different papers and embellishments even the exact same blueprint will be different!
All supplies are Close To My Heart.

My Weekly Planner
I have never been one to write in a diary or anything like that but I really liked the weekly planner that Close to My Heart has. Then a while back another Close To My Heart consultant made one to inspire me. So My New Year's Resolution is to try my best to faithfully keep a journal with the pages of my weekly planner.
On the inside pages I plan to add photos of any milestones or events that are happening in my life. I already have some photos taken for the last week but have not had time to print them out yet. All Supplies are From Close To My Heart unless otherwise noted.

Veranda Workshop On The Go
This is the Veranda Workshop On The Go that we will be creating on February 21st. These papers are so elegant that I knew that I wanted to use some of my wedding photos for (yes, I know that I celebrated my 25th Anniversary last November!) As you can guess, I do not scrapbook chronologically...I use papers and embellishments to inspire me first. If you choose to buy this kit for $35.50 you will get:
Veranda Level 2 paper packet X7119B
Follow your Heart Stamp Set (only available in this kit)
Filigree Charms Z1269
Workshop Guide
You may choose to add:
Antique Copper Mini Medleys Z1275 for $5.25
Spring Blossom Just Blooms Flowers Z1266 for $9.25
You will also get to attend the FREE Workshop to put this layout together or you can work on it at home as the workshop guide is included. To be sure the kit arrives in time for the workshop I will need your orders by January 31.
