Maggie Monday!

Welcome to another Maggie Monday. I think I missed last week. Summer is going to be so busy for me so I will try and post regularly but there will be no promise.
For this "Tilda in Spring Rain" I used the new Cherry O papers. I wasn't really sure if these papers matched my style but once I started working with them I really like them. I also got to use my new punch from EK Success that I picked up in Minot at Hobby Lobby the last time I was there, it is called Double Embossed Dotted Lace.
I really like how the inside turned out with the punch. I may have to do more insides like this one.
All supplies are Close To My Heart unless otherwise noted.

Miles Of Smiles

Another layout of my darling granddaughter Novalee. She is such a happy little girl full of smiles and when I snapped this photo I had the layout in mind already.
I used a Martha Stewart Punch, the Eyelet Lace, to punch around the bamboo cardstock. This is a set of two punches where one punches the corner image and the border one lines up exactly to punch around the rest of the page. I also used one of the On Target Circles and covered it with cardstock to match the layout. I stamped the date on cardstock, punched it out as a circle and placed it in the middle of the flower with a Circle Window charm on top. The window charms are discontinued now, but I still have some left so I will be using them up.
The following list of supplies are from Close To My Heart unless otherwise noted.

Happy Thursday!

Happy Thursday! I hope all is well with you. With summer arriving, we all seem to get busy so my posts might be a little irregular over the summer months. I know I have quite a few things planned that are going to keep me busy. I also have lots of scrapbooking and cardmaking I want to do so I will post when I can.
I am trying to scrapbook more of everyday life and more of my extended family rather that just occasions. So...Meet my Auntie Betty and Uncle Eugene. This is a fairly simple layout that incorporated a lot of embellishments and techniques. To start with I sponged Indian Corn Blue around the petals of the flowers to make the pop. I used my Scalloped Scallop border punch for a couple of the borders. I also used a top coat flourish right on top of the photo in the right bottom corner. It really made the photo stand out as that corner of the photo was on the dark side.

This is the life!

These pictures were taken in the Dominican in November 2006. WOW! Where does the time go. They just seemed to go perfectly with the Moon Doggie paper packet. The Title is actually the Moon Doggie Stickease that I cut apart and mounted with cranberry cardstock. I also used a circle from the On Target Dimensional Elements set and sponged it with cranberry ink to accent the focal photo. I also used my Cherish book for the sketch. It is Elegant Context from page 16-17. I really love these sketch books that Jeanette has published for Close To My Heart.
